Presentation of Gaia Net Exchange in the BGC+I

Its recently elected president, Fran Manzano, had the responsibility of presenting Gaia Net Exchange under the heading, “From competitive markets to collaborating communities”. Gaia Net Exchange aims to overcome the incompatibility arising from the lack of uniformity in the training and management systems used by businesses. Fran Manzano defined the philosophy of this forum under the term “COOPETENCIA” [a combination of cooperation and competition]. This term has come to illustrate how a group of companies, which in practice are all in competition, has managed to overcome their individual interests in order to create an environment that benefits the customer.
