Gaia
GAIA is the Association of Electronic and Information Technologies in the Basque Country, a private and professional non-profit organization, established in 1983, currently made up of over 200 companies that offer products and services in the field of electronics, information technology and telecommunications.

GAIA’s mission is to boost the development and growth in the Electronics-IT and Telecommunications sector, and to favor the assimilation and efficient usage of the sector’s technologies, with the aim of collaborating in the development of the Information and Knowledge Society.
It is governed by companies from the sector through a Board of Directors. Thus, it has working committees in which it reflects and where necessary actions are decided upon in order to ensure good development of the companies from the sector, the association and the surrounding socio-economic setting.
It is made up of an executive team of 13 professionals, with multi-disciplinary training, that work following the EFQM model in programs and activities that are relevant for the associated companies.
Being at service of the associated companies, it has a wide network of collaborators and technical and trade agreements in many countries as it coordinates the search for potential partners, participation on multinational projects, creation of trade networks and technological transfer and sharing.
GAIA’s most emblematic fields of activity are: Traction Cluster, Models for Technological Transfer and Innovation, EFQM Advanced Management Models, Training-Action, Models for Interregional Intercompany Collaboration, Models for Internationalization, Social Corporate Responsibility and Settlement.
